~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
from the Festival organisers, Sunday 5th January
I have been getting a number of enquiries from artists about the status of the festival and the fires in NSW so I thought it might be best to send a general message to you all.
The festival is definitely on - we are still spending many hours finalising arrangements, after many hundreds of (volunteer) hours to get it to this point.
The festival is situated in Bulli, a suburb of Wollongong, about 100km south of Sydney. As of 9.30am (Sydney time), the fires are over 60km away from Bulli.
You are welcome to view the RFS website: https://www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/fire-information/fires-near-me Please also check this website to keep up to date on the roads into Wollongong.
All the best
David
