Hello friends,

I can't quite believe we are already into 2024! I remember watching the TV show 'Beyond 2000' back in the early 90s and thinking that even the year 2000 was forever away!

You know what else I can't believe??? I HAVN'T SENT YOU ALL THE LINK TO THE ZOOM VIDEO OF OUR 10TH JOHN DENGATE GET TOGETHER!!!!

Lovely Sandra and I were emailing and I realised what a buffoon I have been. My plan was to send along with an update of new content on the collection website, but then because I didn't finish making the changes - I didn't send around the link! It has been on YouTube since the day after the event!

Many apologies! But at least I can send you a late Christmas present!

HERE IT IS: https://youtu.be/pIN757x2u0k?si=49VX-gakyA6WO8et

And as a bonus! Here is the video of the beautiful song Doug Jenner sent over for the event that I couldn't get to work during the ZOOM.
The song was written by John in 1991 but you probably haven't heard it before!
Set to the tune of "The Old Palmer Song / Ten Thousand Miles Away", Doug is playing the song with his mates Nigel Hyams and Richard Stewart.

Here's the link:

Enjoy & stay tuned for further updates to the website

Thank you,

.

For the 11th Annual John Dengate Get Together, we are back in person! Can you believe it has been 12 years since we lost John, and now we have our ELEVENTH get together to continue on John's words and music, and share our love for the man, the myth, the legend.

Please join us on Sunday 11th August from 2pm to 6pm at the Gaelic Club, 1/64 Devonshire Street, Surry Hills

We will also be live streaming the event via Zoom, but unfortunately it will be only 1-way (so we can't have off-site performances I'm afraid).

As usual, if you would like to reserve a spot to share a story, poem or song, please contact Leyne on 0433 020 127 or ccmotions@gmail.com

As songs are chosen I will add them to the performer list here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1d49D7jV-F7dKV4lWjfAqzT03isWSVmGJYeaSTXpp8n8/edit?usp=sharing

Thanks all, looking forward to catching up with everyone in person once more!
