The competition was followed by a short concert.
Once again at Illawarra Folk Festival it was a delight to welcome
so many performers still writing entertaining and thought provoking
parodies on a number of topics including political satire and humour
based on human foibles. Good to see that some of the regulars and
previous winners such as John Tubridy and Jane Scott were still writing
moving and thoughtful words. There were some new participants and they
took out the winning spots this year. But congratulations to all and we
look forward to seeing you back at next years Parody contest.
