Venue:1121 Penrose Rd, Penrose
Outline:
A camp to celebrate bush music over the Easter Weekend with lots of opportunity for
playing tunes, singing songs, reciting poems as well as time-out relaxing, bush-walking,
cycling, rowing, and more.
Programme:
A programme of activities to be developed to encourage participation and to foster the interests of the Bush Music Club. Tune workshops at different levels and speeds; Song circles; Song workshops (including songs for XX chromosomes); Poems around the Boree Log; Instrument tutorials in small groups; and your requests.
Facilities:
Campground: There is ample space for camping whether in tents or campervans or caravans.
• A communal gazebo/marquee to assemble under.
• A campfire to sit around with billy tea and damper.
• Shower/ Toilet: The venue offers a wash-house with a single shower andcomposting toilet. There is a tiny-house also on site that offers a shower and
composting toilet.
This will suffice for 15-20 people but we will need to book extra if the numbers get
beyond that.
• An alternative is to dig a long drop and erect a cover around it. It would be a great activity at the start of the weekend. Dave has materials to create a structure and a tractor with an auger to dig a deep hole.
Cost:
The costs are minimal – just the extra insurance and the cost of additional facilities.Flat $30 ($10 per night) for the weekend or $10 per night. $20 Students
