Report on Saplings session March 2015

Unfortunately the date coincided with the St Patrick's Day parade so attendance was low, but the students and their parents had a good time playing together.

The Bush Music Club & Blue Mountain musicians present

Australian Song & Tune Session

Sunday 27th September 2015
from 3-6pm  (+ optional evening meal)

venue Blue Hotel, 88 Lurline Street Katoomba

Musicians & audiences welcome - we will be providing a songs/tunes book for use on the day which can be purchased for a nominal amount by those who want to keep it.

It is now dual carriage way all the way from Katoomba to the M4 & the hotel is also in reasonable walking distance from the station. Over night accommodation is also available.

The Blue Hotel is promoting live music every weekend and they will promote our session as part of this.

On the day they will have a live show running downstairs until 3.00 pm and another one from 6.30. We will be upstairs so we can work with this and it does make a nice package for anyone coming into the session from the general public or for people to relax after or before our session.

Jim Jarvis well known folkie/bluesman from way back will do the evening spot and the Ragged Gentlemen the early afternoon spot.

General information about Hotel Blue
Hotel Blue is a boutique 1920s hotel that captures the charm and character of a bygone era. The downstairs level of the Hotel features a spacious Guest Lounge, with a pool table and lots of board games and cards, with a log fire in the open fireplace throughout the cooler months of the year.

Adjoining the Lounge is our cosy Parlour Bar, which particularly showcases the produce of regional wineries and breweries. There is live jazz in the Lounge every Friday evening between 6:30 and 8:30 pm and live music of various genres every Saturday afternoon/evening (times vary) and every Sunday afternoon between 1:00 and 3:00 pm (free admission).
